Read MoreFreshwater is one of the key resources for earth’s life and has an important role in the social and economic development of any region. The management and control of water resources requires conception, planning, design and execution to maximize water use efficiency during water scarce scenario and to minimize the risk of excess water related natural disasters. Technical advancement, efficient design & planning along with sustainable management are needed in view of demand supply gap in water resources. The increasing pressure for freshwater is forcing the development of several water resources projects. Design and planning of water resources components must include the ways to minimize undesirable environmental consequences. The conflict between preserving our environment and meeting the human requirements, certainly calls for innovative approaches in water resources development and management. It is not possible to tackle future water resource problems by simply employing conventional methods.
To meet the above mentioned requirements and to develop the state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies in the water resources domain, our firm Floodkon Consultants was established by IITians. Team members of Floodkon have young research mind along with knowledge of efficient methodologies in the area of water resources and can opine out-of-box solutions for the present water resource problems. Some of the innovative key services which are provided to the water resource agencies are as follows:
- Impact of climate change on water resources
- Key strategies and design of hydraulic structures in the era of changing climate.
- Development of improved design and river management practices.
- Analysis and management of water resources data.
- Application of water energy engineering for sustainable development.
- State-of-the-art industrial waste water management practices to minimize water pollution risks.
- Planning and management of water resources development projects following the theory of least resistance method.
